I’ve recently been thinking of painting as artist James Hyde puts it, “A motivated, constructive way of looking – rather than a means to an end.” My paintings tend to explore dystopic fantasies between way off futures and pop-culture histories. Recent sculptures take an entirely different approach and address concerns of beauty, presentation, and popular culture. I also work collaboratively as a member of the collective, BroLab.
